Here are theScore's sample Squad Up lineups for Tuesday, Jan. 17:
50-50 Lineup
POS | NAME | OPP | FPPG | SALARY |
---|---|---|---|---|
PG | Goran Dragic (MIA) | vs. HOU | 32.8 | 73K |
SG | DeMar DeRozan (TOR) | at BKN | 40.7 | 86K |
SF | James Johnson (MIA) | vs. HOU | 23.9 | 57K |
PF | Taj Gibson (CHI) | vs. DAL | 23.9 | 50K |
C | Dewayne Dedmon (SA) | vs. MIN | 14.7 | 29K |
The Rockets and Nets play at two of the fastest paces in the league, benefiting the scoring outlook of Dragic and DeRozan, and the latter will likely eclipse 30 points, whether he logs major minutes or not. Gibson and Dedmon both have double-double upside. In particular, the Bulls' big will feast on the Mavericks' aging frontcourt.
Tournament Lineup
POS | NAME | OPP | FPPG | SALARY |
---|---|---|---|---|
PG | D'Angelo Russell (LAL) | vs. DEN | 28.0 | 70K |
SG | Jamal Murray (DEN) | at LAL | 14.3 | 25K |
SF | Kawhi Leonard (SA) | vs. MIN | 40.3 | 79K |
PF | Trevor Booker (BKN) | vs. TOR | 26.6 | 56K |
C | Nikola Jokic (DEN) | at LAL | 30.4 | 69K |
The Nuggets-Lakers game will be a shootout between two young squads that can't defend. Murray should be a big riser; Gary Harris (ankle) is out, and Murray played just four minutes Monday. Booker has a reasonable shot at a double-double, and the Raptors' PF position has been its weak spot all year. Russell, Leonard and Jokic have the requisite upside for a big performance.
