Broncos officially rehire Mike McCoy as OC

Jake Roth / USA TODAY Sports

Mike McCoy will make his second stint as the Denver Broncos' offensive coordinator.

The team officially announced that they will be bringing back McCoy to serve in the same position he held from 2009 to 2012.

In his first go around, he worked with quarterbacks Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow, and Peyton Manning. He'll now be asked to develop second-year pro Trevor Siemian and rookie passer Paxton Lynch.

McCoy spent the past four years as the head coach of the San Diego Chargers, where he compiled a win-loss record of 27-37.

The team has also added former Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave as the new quarterbacks coach.
