Torian Graham's pregame middle-finger salute toward Arizona fans was prompted by racial slurs, the Arizona State guard said after Thursday's game.

In a since-deleted tweet, Graham wrote:

I apologies for my actions, there was racial slurs said, and I didn't react the right way as I should My apologies to the ASU program

Graham wasn't made available to the media for comment postgame, but a team spokesperson told ESPN's Myron Medcalf the program is investigating the claim.

The senior, who posted 18 points in the Sun Devils' 91-75 loss, leads his team in scoring with 18.1 points per game.
