Ravens' Harbaugh looking to add another running back

Finishing the season with the league's 28th-ranked rushing offense, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh doesn't plan on standing pat with the runners in his stable.

Harbaugh felt rookie Kenneth Dixon and third-year back Terrance West did enough to earn their spots on the team, but he wants another set of legs on his running back depth chart for 2017.

"We need another back," Harbaugh said, via ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "What type of back that is? I think we’re talking about it. We have a pretty good idea of the type of back we want to add."

The Ravens became much more reliant on their passing game after being known as a run-first team once upon a time. Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg want to commit to the running game after averaging just 22.3 attempts per game over their last 11 contests.

"Marty believes in running the football, and I believe in running the football," Harbaugh said. "We have not run the football well enough or enough, really, for the last two years. That has to change."
