Packers', Seahawks' Super Bowl odds low despite wild-card wins
With four one-sided games opening the 2016 NFL playoffs, most of the pretenders have been separated from the contenders as we get one week closer to Super Bowl 51.
After the first set of contests, the remaining eight teams saw their championship odds shift.
Team | Odds on Jan. 1 | Odds on Jan. 8 |
---|---|---|
New England Patriots | 7-5 | 3-2 |
Dallas Cowboys | 7-2 | 9-2 |
Atlanta Falcons | 10-1 | 6-1 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | 14-1 | 8-1 |
Kansas City Chiefs | 10-1 | 8-1 |
Green Bay Packers | 8-1 | 10-1 |
Seattle Seahawks | 12-1 | 10-1 |
Houston Texans | 80-1 | 40-1 |
The New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys are still sitting as the favorites to meet in Houston as they watched the field play out around them.
Despite gaining victories on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers didn't jump the pair of No. 2 seeds as both teams wait to hear for medical updates to star players Ben Roethlisberger and Jordy Nelson.
On top of opening as one of the largest underdogs in postseason history, the Texans are far and away the least likely team to win the Lombardi Trophy.
