Report: Orioles showing interest in Moss
The Baltimore Orioles found the left-handed-hitting outfielder they wanted when they acquired Seth Smith from the Seattle Mariners on Friday, but executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette may still be on the hunt for a similar player.
Baltimore is showing interest in free-agent outfielder/first baseman Brandon Moss, reports MLB.com's Jon Morosi.

Even after acquiring Smith, the Orioles feature a predominantly right-handed-hitting lineup, so the interest in the left-handed-hitting Moss, whose power would play well at Camden Yards, is warranted.

2012 | 296 | 21 | 52 | .596 |
2013 | 505 | 30 | 87 | .522 |

The Orioles have also been tied to a number of other power-hitting free agents, namely Mark Trumbo, Mike Napoli, Chris Carter, and Pedro Alvarez.
Despite being mired in a 9-for-91 slump to end 2016, the 33-year-old Moss has drawn interest throughout the offseason, with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies among his suitors.
Moss owns a .241/.319/.455 slash line with 138 home runs and 423 RBIs over the course of his 10-year career.
