Here is a look at the Squad Up daily NBA fantasy picture for Friday, Dec. 30:

Dynamic Duos

  • SF Tobias Harris (51K) & SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (57K), Pistons (at Hawks): Harris should have played himself into many daily fantasy rosters now. Since moving to the bench for his past three games, he's averaged 23.3 points and 8.3 boards. Caldwell-Pope can get hot from deep and Atlanta ranks 25th in opponent 3-point percentage.
  • PG Derrick Rose (67K) & C Joakim Noah (44K), Knicks (at Pelicans): Noah's grabbed 22 points and 28 rebounds in his past two games. He draws a New Orleans team sitting 27th in rebound rate and 20th in opponent points in the paint. The Pelicans shaky defense also allows opponents to average the second most assists per game.
  • PG John Wall (113K) & SF Otto Porter (71K), Wizards (vs. Nets): Wall has a double-double in eight of his past 10 games and draws a fantastic matchup against Brooklyn. Earlier this year, he dropped 25 points and 13 dimes against the Nets. Porter has 54 total points in his past two games and should continue that success. The Nets struggle against SFs.

Bargain Plays

  • SF Dorian Finney-Smith (26K), Mavericks (at Warriors): Thanks to the Mavericks' overall health issues, Finney-Smith has become a common bargain play this season. He's coming off a 32-minute and 12-point performance against the Lakers and could draw extra run in this prospective blowout.
  • PG Randy Foye (28K), Nets (at Wizards): With PG Jeremy Lin unavailable, Foye has played over 20 minutes in his past two games. Lin will again be sidelined Friday. Against a poor Washington defense, Foye should be able to return strong value. He's coming off an 11-point, five-rebound performance versus Chicago.
  • C Willie Reed (25K), Heat (at Celtics): Reed has played about 12 minutes in each of Miami's past three games. It's not much playing time, but it's enough for Reed, who's collected 11 points, 21 rebounds, and six blocks in that span. With Miami on the second leg of a back-to-back, Reed could see 15 or more minutes against Boston.

Top Fades

  • SG C.J. McCollum (77K), Trail Blazers (at Spurs): McCollum will continue trying to shoulder the load in PG Damian Lillard's absence. Don't expect him to have much success against the Spurs, though. Aside from their already tough defense, San Antonio will be sure to shut down McCollum in hopes that it will shut down Portland's entire offense.
  • PG Dennis Schroder (73K), Hawks (vs. Pistons): Schroder is simply overpriced at this mark. For only a few dollars more, you can draft Chris Paul, Isaiah Thomas, or Steph Curry; all three of whom are vastly superior options.
  • SF Trevor Ariza (76K), Rockets (vs. Clippers): Like Schroder, Ariza is overpriced relative to other available SF options. Carmelo Anthony can be obtained for just a hair more, or you can spend down and go with Porter, Harrison Barnes, or Wilson Chandler. Either way, there's no reason to draft Ariza at this price.

Contrarian Options

  • SG Tyreke Evans (34K), Pelicans (vs. Knicks): Evans is expected to see his minutes trend upwards in the immediate future. He picked up 12 points, five assists, and five boards against the Clips on Wednesday in just 16 minutes. His talent and well-rounded play have always been there, he just needs to stay healthy.
  • PG Patty Mills (44K), Spurs (vs. Trail Blazers): Mills won't attract much attention on a nine-game slate. That's unfortunate for those who pass on the sharpshooter. He dropped 23 points and five 3-pointers against Portland just three games ago. A repeat performance could be in the cards thanks to Portland's poor perimeter defense.
  • C Al Horford (78K), Celtics (vs. Heat): Drafting the center opposing Hassan Whiteside can be risky business. However, Horford's 3-point range will force Whiteside outside of his comfort zone around the rim. The versatile big man posted 17 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds against the Heat in a prior meeting.
