Birmingham turns loan of Burnley's Jutkiewicz permanent for £1 million

Lukas Jutkiewicz is now a full-time employee of Birmingham City after the west Midlands outfit paid Burnley £1 million to turn his loan deal into a permanent acquisition.

Jutkiewicz's temporary stay from Burnley expires at midnight Jan. 2, with his registration as strictly a Birmingham player commencing the following day.

The striker signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at St Andrew's, with an additional one-year option written into the paperwork.

Jutkiewicz's arrival marks the first piece of transfer business for new manager Gianfranco Zola, who controversially succeeded Gary Rowett last week - soon after Birmingham's takeover by Chinese-owned group Trillion Trophy Asia.
