Kaepernick throws for 4 yards in 2nd half vs. Jets

Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports

One week after throwing for four yards in three quarters of a game, Colin Kaepernick struggled almost as badly in the second half of Sunday's contest against the New York Jets.

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback threw for just four yards - on two completions - in the second half against New York.

After leading the Niners to a 17-3 lead in the first half, Kaepernick's lone completions in the second were a 9-yard pass to Jeremy Kerley and a minus-5-yard toss to Shaun Draughn.

Coinciding with Kaepernick's ineffective passing, the 49ers allowed the Jets to tie the score at 17, as the contest went to overtime.

Kaepernick began the extra period with a pair of completions, for five and nine yards. However, the Jets would later complete their comeback with Bilal Powell's game-winning touchdown.
