Report: Rockets pull offer to Motiejunas, working on new deal

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Rockets have pulled their offer sheet to Donatas Motiejunas and are working on a new deal with the 7-foot power forward, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

Motiejunas refused to submit to a physical earlier this week for Houston after the Rockets matched the Brooklyn Nets' $37-million offer sheet. Motiejunas' absence stemmed from Houston's refusal to include $6 million in incentive clauses in their offer, matching only the principal amount of the contract.

The 25-year-old is ineligible to be traded this season, as his offer with the Nets was signed after the Nov. 23 deadline.

Motiejunas averaged 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on 43.9 percent shooting in 37 games for Houston this past season.
