Rivers dismisses notion that Warriors are superteam

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors may have four All-NBA players on their roster, but there are some around the league who refuse to buy into the hype.

After witnessing last year's Finals collapse, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers isn't ready to call Golden State a "superteam" just yet.

"They've only won one title, by the way," Rivers told ESPN's Arash Markazi.

Rivers isn't the first - and likely won't be the last - to question the Warriors' ability, as several former players have taken a wait-and-see approach with this year's squad.

While their season will ultimately be judged by its end result, the Warriors have certainly lived up to the hype so far, putting together the best offense in NBA history through 21 games.

Rivers and the Clippers saw how good it was Wednesday night, as Golden State beat Los Angeles 115-98 at the Staples Center.
