Week 14 Betting Preview: Predictions for every matchup

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

Each week during the NFL season, theScore's Dane Belbeck will handicap every matchup and offer up a three-pack of picks.

Baltimore Ravens (+7) at New England Patriots

The Ravens-Patriots rivalry has been one of the best throughout the NFL in recent years, and Monday night should be no different. New England hasn't looked its dominant self in recent weeks, and Joe Flacco should do enough to keep this one close on the road. Patriots 28, Ravens 24

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2) at Buffalo Bills

The Steelers defense is one of the most under-appreciated units in the league, allowing a combined 30 points in the last three games. A one-dimensional Bills offense will have problems solving that outfit, and Ben Roethlisberger should have a big day against a secondary that just gave up 260 yards and two touchdowns to Derek Carr. Steelers 28, Bills 17

Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-3)

Oakland faces a tight turnaround after a massive comeback win over Buffalo last week, and will be in a hostile environment at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs get Jeremy Maclin back from injury, while the Raiders will be without Karl Joseph, their second-leading tackler. Andy Reid at home on a short week sounds like stealing to me. Chiefs 27, Raiders 20

Remaining matchups

San Diego Chargers (+1.5) at Carolina Panthers

With the turmoil surrounding the Panthers after Cam Newton's one-play suspension last week, this seems like a good spot to bet on Philip Rivers. The Chargers on the road in a 1:00 p.m. ET start isn't great, but the wily veteran does enough to get the win. Chargers 30, Panthers 27

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts (-5.5)

Unless Houston is getting more than a touchdown on the road, it's impossible to back a Brock Osweiler-led club. The Colts looked great in dismantling the Jets last week, and the Texans don't have the offense to keep up in this AFC South matchup. Colts 31, Texans 20

Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans (-1)

Tennessee's secondary hasn't been sharp all season, but neither Paxton Lynch or Trevor Siemian can take advantage of that. Marcus Mariota makes enough plays against the stout Broncos defense to get the Titans the win. Titans 24, Broncos 17

Washington Redskins (-1) at Philadelphia Eagles

Do you trust Philadelphia and Carson Wentz right now? Redskins 28, Eagles 17

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns (+5.5)

A.J. Green is not expected to return for Sunday's game, which means we are doing the insane thing and picking a Browns victory for their first win of the season. Browns 24, Bengals 23

Arizona Cardinals (+1) at Miami Dolphins

It doesn't appear that Mike Pouncey will be healthy enough to play on Sunday, which is bad news for Jay Ajayi and the Dolphins' rushing attack. Cardinals 27, Dolphins 20

Chicago Bears (+7.5) at Detroit Lions

The Lions are due for a letdown after a massive road win at New Orleans last week, and while that won't be a loss, the Bears can keep this one within a touchdown. Lions 24, Bears 20

Minnesota Vikings at Jacksonville Jaguars (+3)

Mike Zimmer's defense will likely have a field day with Blake Bortles and the Jaguars offense, but the Vikings don't have the offense to make this a blowout. Vikings 21, Jaguars 20

New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers (-2.5)

Betting this game means you would have to at least check in on it during Sunday's action. That would be cruel and unusual punishment. 49ers 21, Jets 17

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5)

The Bucs are rolling as of late, the Saints certainly are not. Those trends will continue in this NFC South matchup. Bucs 31, Saints 27

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers (+2.5)

The world will find out just how valuable Earl Thomas was to that Seahawks defense with Aaron Rodgers as the opposing quarterback. Packers 28, Seahawks 24

Atlanta Falcons (-6) at Los Angeles Rams

Jeff Fisher can't even find his challenge flag on the sidelines, so betting on him to slow down the Falcons doesn't seem wise. Falcons 27, Rams 14

Dallas Cowboys (-3) at New York Giants

The Giants handed the Cowboys their only loss this season with a week one road win, but this is a much different Dallas team. After watching New York struggle mightily against the Steelers last week, a season sweep over Dallas doesn't seem likely. Cowboys 28, Giants 20
