After completing a trade just over a year ago that saw the Seattle Mariners get rid of outfielder Mark Trumbo, the team is considering a reunion with the slugger.

The Mariners are in serious contract talks with the 30-year-old free agent, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden.

However, Greg Johns of MLB.com deemed the reunion unlikely, as Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto has traded Trumbo twice - once as a member of the Los Angeles Angels front office and again while hired by the Mariners.

With the Baltimore Orioles last season, Trumbo hit 47 home runs to lead all of baseball. He also set career highs in RBIs (108), slugging percentage (.533), and OPS (.850). He is reportedly seeking a four-year deal worth approximately $80 million, and rejected an offer made by the Orioles, who took the proposal off the table and are now considered out on the 30-year old.

The Colorado Rockies are also said to be heavily in the mix for Trumbo, and are interested in deploying him as their everyday first baseman.
