With the Chicago White Sox in full rebuild mode, no player is untouchable, leaving the Colorado Rockies in pursuit of one of the team's many assets.

The Rockies are showing interest in trading for White Sox third baseman Todd Frazier and would consider deploying him at first base, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Frazier's natural position is at third base but he's no stranger to playing first, having appeared in 90 games there throughout his career.

The 30-year-old had a productive season with the White Sox, hitting 40 home runs - a career best - and has increased those totals from 19, 29, 35, and 40 in each of the past four seasons.

The Rockies are also strongly in the mix for free-agent slugger Mark Trumbo, who recently turned down an offer from his former team the Baltimore Orioles. First basemen Jose Abreu - another White Sox trade chip - and Edwin Encarnacion are also reportedly being considered as well.

Any free-agent power hitter signing in Colorado would likely increase their home run totals as Coors Field is one of the majors' most hitter-friendly ballparks.
