The Texas Rangers' search for outfield help has reached the Queen City.

Potentially facing the loss of Ian Desmond to free agency, the Rangers have reportedly been involved in ongoing talks with the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Billy Hamilton, according to TR Sullivan of MLB.com.

Hamilton is among a number of players the Reds are listening in on this winter, including shortstop Zack Cozart and second baseman Brandon Phillips. Though, the asking price isn't cheap.

"Very high," Reds general manager Dick Williams told Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer. "We have some good players."

Hamilton's coming off a season in which he hit .260/.321/.343 with three home runs, 19 doubles, and 58 stolen bases in 2016. He's been a Gold Glove finalist in each of the last three seasons, but has yet to claim an award.

The 25-year-old is under team control through the 2019 season, and is projected to earn $2.3 million in salary arbitration in 2017, according to MLB Trade Rumors.
