Eagles coach says 'not everybody' played hard in loss to Bengals

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost seven of their last nine games and now they're having effort issues across their roster.

Following a 32-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson watched tape of the game and told reporters only a number of players provided max effort.

"Not everybody. Not everybody, and that's the accountability that I talk about," Pederson said on Monday. "You know I hold coaches accountable for that. I hold myself accountable for that because it all starts with me and I pride myself each week to make sure the guys are ready to go."

The loss dropped the Eagles to two games out of a playoff spot and the current 12th seed in the NFC. They'll have to rebound in tough divisional games against the Washington Redskins, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys and best the Baltimore Ravens in an intra-conference matchup in order to improve their playoff hopes.
