Report: Western Kentucky's Jeff Brohm to interview for Baylor HC job

Joshua Lindsey-USA TODAY Sports

Western Kentucky captured its second straight Conference USA title on Saturday, and that could lead to a position in the Power 5 for head coach Jeff Brohm, as sources told Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports that Baylor will interview the 45-year-old on Sunday.

Brohm's record in three years with the Hilltoppers is a very impressive 30-10, with a potent offense that has ranked among the tops in the country under his watch. This year's team is currently 13th in the country in scoring, one year after ranking as the 3rd-highest scoring outfit in the nation.

While Brohm has no coaching experience in the state of Texas, his offensive acumen would certainly play well at Baylor, a school that became renowned for posting high numbers under Art Briles.

Whoever takes on the Baylor position has a large task ahead, as the Bears recruiting classes for 2016 and 2017 were decimated after Briles was dismissed prior to the season.
