Kanye West was starstruck by Eddy Curry

Apparently even Kanye gets starstruck.

During an appearance on The Vertical Podcast with Adrian Wojnarowski, Clippers guard Jamal Crawford told some interesting stories about his days with the Chicago Bulls in the early 2000s. According to Crawford, he and his former teammate Eddy Curry once ran into Kanye West at an award show.

"Me and Eddy, we went to the Vibe Awards, I believe," Crawford said. "We were in L.A. on a trip - this is when we were on the Chicago Bulls. And Kanye West was there. A younger Kanye West, he was just producing at that point. I think he'd started rapping, but he was just producing mostly.

"He saw Eddy Curry and he was like, in awe. He knew everything about him. He looked up and just said 'That's Eddy!' It was just unbelievable to see that."

Even though Curry's NBA career didn't go exactly as planned - selected fourth overall by the Bulls in 2001, he only played in 26 games from 2009 until 2012, his last NBA appearance - he can at least say he once impressed someone with 21 Grammy Awards on their mantle.
