Kings-76ers game postponed due to poor court conditions

Wednesday's matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and visiting Sacramento Kings (7 p.m. ET tipoff) at the Wells Fargo Center has been postponed due to issues with the surface area of the court.

Tickets will be honored for the fans who came out to catch the game, although no date has been determined for when the two teams will meet again.

No. 1 overall draft pick Ben Simmons, who wasn't in attendance as he continues his rehab from surgery on his right foot, had a good chuckle over the disaster of an evening.

Even the Kings' Twitter account tried to make light of the situation, while also taking a subtle shot at their opponents and the now infamous "process."

All that did, though, was provide an opening for Joel Embiid to drop a "process" joke of his own.

This is the second year in a row Philadelphia has had one of its games postponed. Originally scheduled to square off with the Boston Celtics on Jan. 23, that outing was pushed back to the following day because of potential severe weather conditions in the Eastern United States.
