Report: Seahawks work out Pro Bowl fullback Marcel Reece

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks worked out free-agent fullback Marcel Reece on Wednesday, ESPN's Field Yates reports.

Reece, who earned three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2012-2014, hit the open market earlier this season when the Oakland Raiders opted to cut ties at the conclusion of a four-game suspension.

The Washington product remains one of the rare players at the position capable of having an impact as a lead blocker, ball-carrier, and receiver out of the backfield.

That dynamic ability, as well as his familiarity with the blocking scheme of offensive line coach Tom Cable, could make him an interesting fit in Seattle.

Reece appeared in 15 games before the suspension was handed down last season, tallying 30 receptions for 269 yards and three touchdowns.
