Georgia Tech running back Marcus Marshall announced he will be transfer to a new school in January.

Marshall led the Yellow Jackets in rushing in each of the past two seasons. In total, the sophomore rushed for 1,278 yards and scored eight touchdowns in two years.

Coming out of high school, Marshall picked Georgia Tech over Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. He is the younger brother of Keith Marshall, who was drafted by the Washington Redskins after playing his college career at Georgia.

Marshall will have two years of eligibility remaining at another FBS-level school after he sits out the mandatory one-year post-transfer period.

Reserve cornerback Dorian Walker is also transferring out of the program, according to Kelly Quinlan of Rivals.

Walker had three tackles and an interception across 12 games this season as a redshirt freshman.
