Wiggins stays hot, outscores 76ers starters in Wolves' win

Andrew Wiggins is on fire, and he's not letting anyone get in his way.

In Thursday's 110-86 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, the Minnesota Timberwolves swingman did plenty right, including steamrolling Robert Covington before sinking yet another 3-pointer:

Wiggins finished with a game-high 35 points on 14-of-20 shooting from the field and 3-of-6 from deep, to go along with 10 boards, four assists, and a steal.

Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks as Minnesota improved to 4-7 on the season.

Wiggins leads the NBA in 3-point accuracy - making them at a 53.5 percent clip - after shooting just 30.5 percent from beyond the arc in his first two campaigns.

The Canadian credits his success to all the offseason hours he put in at the gym, and plans to "go even harder" next summer, as quoted by Jon Krawczynski of The Associated Press.

"I'm only going to try to get better. Seeing yourself do the stuff you worked on all summer and it's working. It gives you a good feeling," said Wiggins, who's averaging 27.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists - all career highs.
