The Kansas City Chiefs will be without wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and linebacker Justin Houston for Sunday's matchup with the Carolina Panthers, as each were officially ruled out as part of the injury report released Friday

Houston was activated from the PUP list this week after undergoing offseason knee surgery, but is at least another game away from getting back on the field. Maclin is battling a groin injury suffered in practice last week and aggravated in a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Chiefs will also be without defensive lineman Jaye Howard, who is dealing with a hip injury.

While the team will miss its top receiving target and pass-rusher, quarterback Alex Smith will return after suffering a concussion.

Fantasy Fallout: Tyreek Hill can take advantage of a bigger role with Maclin out
