Several of the honors that come with induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame appear limited to those alive to receive them.

The family of legendary Oakland Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler will not receive either a gold jacket or a ring as part of his recent enshrinement, daughter Kendra Stabler Moyes said this week.

The Hall of Fame hasn't given any indication of its reasoning for the decision.

Stabler, whose NFL career spanned 15 seasons from 1970-84, was officially selected for induction by the Seniors Committee seven months after dying of colon cancer last July.

"The Snake" posted an impressive 69-26-1 record across his 10-year run in Oakland, leading the way to a Super Bowl XI victory and earning himself four Pro Bowl appearances.
