Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Detroit Lions due to a shoulder injury, head coach Bill O'Brien announced Friday.

Miller was a limited participant in each practice this week after playing through the ailment on an apparent snap count Monday night. Though taking part in every team session seemingly hints he's on track to play, the Texans are waiting until game day to make the final call.

As it stands, Miller can be expected to suit up barring some sort of setback.

Should the injury limit his workload or make him a surprise inactive entirely, Alfred Blue would be poised for a more significant backfield role.

The Texans enter Week 8 looking for more production on the ground to take pressure off Brock Osweiler and a passing attack that's yet to live up to expectations.
