Here is a look at the Squad Up daily NBA fantasy picture for Friday, October 28:

Dynamic Duos

  • PG James Harden (103K) & PF Clint Capela (53K), Rockets (at Mavericks): Harden is must-watch entertainment for any basketball fan. His new PG role has him eyeing a double-double every time he takes to the floor. Harden also made a few notable connections with Capela, who posted 16 points and five boards in 25 minutes against the Lakers.
  • SG Monta Ellis (53K) & C Myles Turner (64K), Pacers (at Nets): Turner stood out in Indiana's season opener, posting 30 points and 16 rebounds. The veteran Ellis supplied 19 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. They should both produce in a matchup against a Brooklyn team that ranked 29th in Defensive Efficiency last season.
  • PG Tim Frazier (57K) & PF Anthony Davis (102K), Pelicans (vs. Warriors): All eyes will be on Davis to see how he follows up his 50-point, 16-rebound performance. But don't sleep on Frazier. The fill-in guard had 15 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds against Denver. He makes for a fantastic fantasy option until Jrue Holiday returns.

Bargain Plays

  • SF James Johnson (25K), Heat (vs. Hornets): Johnson played 25 minutes off the bench in Miami's opener. He finished with 11 points, six assists, and two rebounds. Johnson also launched four attempts from deep, knocking down two. With 20-plus minutes and some offensive freedom, he can easily return value.
  • PF Ersan Ilyasova (31K), Thunder (vs. Suns): The Turkish pride runs deep on the Thunder bench. Along with fellow countryman Enes Kanter, Ilyasova supplies legitimate offense to the Thunder's secondary unit. As a stretch four, Ilyasova should knock down a few deep balls against a Phoenix team that ranked 30th in opponent 3-point percentage last year.
  • PG J.J. Barea (35K), Mavericks (vs. Rockets): Barea became a fixture off Dallas' bench last year, averaging 10 points and four assists in 22 minutes. He ballooned up to 39 minutes in Dallas' opening season OT-loss. Another heavy workload like that against Houston will mean automatic fantasy production.

Contrarian Picks

  • SG Victor Oladipo (71K), Thunder (vs. Suns): Oladipo flamed out in his Thunder debut, scoring just 10 points while going 0-for-5 from deep. A matchup against Phoenix should ease that sour first note. The Suns were one of the worst defensive teams in numerous categories last year, and their fast-paced play leads to plenty of scoring opportunities.
  • PG George Hill (61K), Jazz (vs. Lakers): Hill had a phenomenal debut with the Jazz, posting 19 points with six assists. He should have eclipsed the 20-point mark, but made just 1-of-6 3-point attempts. Having averaged over 15 points just once in his eight previous seasons, Hill's newfound offensive role must be capitalized on.
  • C Roy Hibbert (35K), Hornets (at Heat): Hibbert has averaged fewer than 13 points in all eight of his NBA seasons. Against C Hassan Whiteside, he's going to have an even tougher time. But as Charlotte's starting center, he saw 31 minutes in the opener. He finished with 15 points and nine boards. Getting 30 minutes of playing time at his salary is a rare find.

Fades

  • SG DeMar DeRozan (72K), Raptors (vs. Cavaliers): DeRozan is coming off a 40-point night to open the season. He won't come close to that in a slow-paced game against the Cavs. Last year in three regular season meetings, DeRozan averaged just 15 points against Cleveland.
  • PG Kemba Walker (74K), Hornets (at Heat): Miami and Charlotte both sat in the bottom-half of Pace Factor last year. They also ranked in the top-10 for Defensive Efficiency. In what should be a defensive grind, Walker's ceiling takes a massive hit. The former Connecticut star has averaged just 16.7 points in 19 career meetings versus Miami.
  • SG Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (56K), Nets (vs. Pacers): Hollis-Jefferson offered little in Brooklyn's season opener. Despite playing 23 minutes, he attempted just three field goals and grabbed two boards. Hollis-Jefferson should progress throughout the season, but his 9.5 usage rate against Boston means he simply isn't involved in the offense just yet.
