LSU's Dwayne Thomas on Alabama: 'We're just going to dominate'

Alabama has owned rivals LSU in recent times, winning the last five contests.

Over a month ago, it looked like that trend would continue after the Tigers' 2-2 start and long time coach Les Miles being showed the door.

Since then, the Tigers have won three straight, and for senior defensive back Dwayne Thomas, he believes they'll make it four in row when they play Alabama next Saturday in Death Valley.

"I just feel like this is the year," Thomas told David Ching of ESPN. "We've been letting them off the hook for the last couple of years. This is my senior year. We're going out with a bang and it's time for us to bring that win back. And we're going to be at home. I feel like we have the edge to take it to them, and we're going to take it to them and I feel like we're just going to dominate this game."

LSU's defense is ranked 14th in the country, shutting down Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly last week. Kelly threw for just 218 yards and was picked off twice in the game, Thomas is confident they'll do the same to Jalen Hurts and the Crimson Tide offense, which is averaging 43.9 points per game.

"After hitting him a couple times, most quarterbacks don't like to get hit. They start making mistakes after that, and then with the tight coverage that we're going to have on the back end, he's not going to want to go to some of his favorite targets. That's all we have to do. I really see us dominating this offense. I really see us dominating this team."
