Auburn's Kerryon Johnson to return vs. Ole Miss
John Reed-USA TODAY Sports
Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson, who sat out last week's game with an ankle injury, will play Saturday against Ole Miss.
Tigers coach Gus Malzahn made the announcement Wednesday, adding the sophomore tailback is "really close" to being 100 percent healthy.
"He will play this Saturday," Malzahn said on the SEC teleconference, according to Wesley Sinor of AL.com. "There's no doubt about that. He's close. We're trying to be smart about it. Last week was really good, him not having to play."
Johnson was in uniform last week against Arkansas, but didn't see the field as the Tigers destroyed the Razorbacks.
He's rushed for 538 yards and six touchdowns for the season.
