Helfrich mum on strategy for hiding signs against Arizona State

This week is Oregon's turn to face question about dealing with Arizona State's alleged sign-stealing shenanigans.

The headlines began last year, when Sun Devils head coach Todd Graham admitted to stealing signs after both Oregon and Utah complained. The issue came back to the forefront a few weeks ago, when Washington State head coach Mike Leach also accused Arizona State of stealing signs, taking it one step further by saying the Sun Devils had a command center and microphones set up.

Leach was fined $10,000 and reprimanded for his comments, while Graham called him "chickens--t" at midfield following the Cougars' win over the Sun Devils last week.

Tuesday, Ducks head coach Mark Helfrich joked that Oregon was thinking of using smoke signals to hide signs, according to Kristen Rodgers of KEZI9.

Last season, the Ducks used white sheets to hide their signals at Sun Devil Stadium:

"We'll hopefully have something as effective this year," Helfrich added, according to ESPN's Chantel Jennings.
