Tottenham's Lloris in no rush to sign new deal
Despite a flurry of contract renewals at White Hart Lane, standout Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris isn't thinking about one right now.
Eight Spurs players have put pen to paper on new deals with the north London outfit over the past month, with defender Jan Vertonghen expected to be the ninth.
But Lloris has three-and-a-half more years left to run on his current Tottenham agreement, presenting no immediate need for a new signature.
"At the moment I just think about the close future, the next game, and I repeat I feel very pleased to be a Spurs player and to be the skipper too," the 29-year-old told reporters. "I feel very involved and I try to do my best for my team and my club.
"I don't think at all about the future. I'm under contract and there's no rush to think about that. I'm just doing my job as I've done now for more than 10 years."
Lloris has kept clean sheets in four of Tottenham's past five matches across all competitions, and allowed just four goals in the club's first nine Premier League fixtures.
He was an important part of Spurs' title charge last season, and made several key saves for France as his country made the Euro 2016 final.
The most recent of his heroics came last Tuesday in the Champions League, the Frenchman scrambling to make a goal-line stop on Bayer Leverkusen's Javier Hernandez.

Teammate Eric Dier praised Lloris for his shot-stopping skills, but also his ability to play the ball from the back.
"He does everything. When you are playing against quick strikers, like Bournemouth have, he is not just good between the posts, he is also a sweeper keeper, coming out off his line," said Dier.
"I don't think there's anyone as good as him, to be honest, but that is my opinion and football is a game of opinions."
