Alabama lands 4-star tight end Major Tennison

Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports

After decommitting from Texas in July, four-star prospect Major Tennison has decided Nick Saban's Alabama program is the right fit for him.

Tennison chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Michigan, Florida, and Georgia, among others.

"I'm very excited to announce I have committed to the University of Alabama, God bless and Roll Tide," the Bullard, Texas native wrote on his Twitter account.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end is rated No. 8 for his position in the country and the No. 41 in his home state.

The Crimson Tide currently have the No. 2 recruiting class for 2017.
