Cubs fan provides hand placement rules for 'Bartman seats'

Chicago Cubs fan and comedian Roy Wood Jr. has a public service announcement for anyone sitting down the left-field line at Wrigley Field for Game 6 of the NLCS on Saturday: no matter what happens, do not reach out and interfere with any ball hit in, or around your direction.

With the Cubs holding a 3-2 series lead over the Florida Marlins in the 2003 NLCS, disaster struck Wrigley Field in the eighth inning of Game 6. Chicago fan Steve Bartman reached for the ball down the left-field line and prevented Cubs outfielder Moises Alou from catching what would have been the second out of the inning.

The Cubs would subsequently give up eight runs in the frame and lose the series in seven games.

With a win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in either Game 6 or Game 7 this weekend, the Cubs will advance to the World Series for the first time since 1945. They've reached the NLCS four times since their last appearance in the Fall Classic, losing each time.
