Rooney questions Owen's loyalty to United after Liverpool tweet

Michael Owen is being accused of hopping back onto the Liverpool bandwagon.

The former England international came under criticism Saturday when he tweeted his support for Liverpool during the Merseyside club's match against West Bromwich Albion.

Shortly after sending the message, Owen - who came through the Reds' youth system before starring on the senior team for the better part of a decade - was flooded with reminders about his days with Liverpool rivals Manchester United, where he spent three seasons and won the 2011 Premier League title.

Not even United captain Wayne Rooney could hold back from calling out his former teammate:

Stoke City, Newcastle, and Real Madrid players, however, didn't seem to be bothered by the tweet.

To be fair, Owen was named Liverpool's first international ambassador earlier this season - a decision that didn't go over well with the Scousers.
