Giants' McAdoo: We won't turn our backs on Josh Brown

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo says his team will continue to support kicker Josh Brown despite the revelation that he admitted to abusing his wife on a series of occasions in a 2014 letter.

The Giants left Brown at home as they travel to London to play the Los Angeles Rams, while the NFL said it will re-open its investigation into him after discovering the details in the letter. He was suspended for the first game of this season for a domestic violence arrest in 2015.

"I do not support domestic violence if that's what you're asking," McAdoo told reporters Friday, according to Newsday's Tom Rock. "I don't condone it."

But McAdoo was steadfast in his support of Brown.

"We're not going to turn our back on Josh," he said. "He's a teammate and a guy who we're hoping makes strides."

Brown remains on the Giants' roster, but the team signed veteran Robbie Gould to handle placekicking duties in London.
