Liverpool's Wijnaldum returns to training ahead of West Brom clash

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum could be edging closer to a return from injury after training with his teammates ahead of Saturday's match against West Bromwich Albion.

The Dutch international was forced to miss Liverpool's goalless draw with Manchester United after picking up a hip injury while on international duty on Oct. 11.

Wijnaldum has had just over a week to recover from the knock, but his status for Saturday's match hasn't been confirmed by manager Jurgen Klopp.

The German gaffer did, however, reveal that his team is relatively healthy overall.

"Actually, in this moment there's nothing really to moan about," Klopp said during Thursday's news conference, according to Liverpool's website.

"We had a few kicks and things like this - in the game (on Monday) and still felt after the game, of course. But nobody is ruled out at the moment and Gini is on the way back, so that’s good."

Klopp added that, barring setbacks, he will have a large squad to choose from ahead of the West Brom tie.
