Mora: UCLA isn't douchey, Marks 'misinformed' about pregame mishap

No, UCLA wasn't intentionally being douchey when the Bruins began warming up on Washington State's side of the field Saturday night.

Rather, Bruins coach Jim Mora chalked up the incident Tuesday as an innocent mistake, and added that angry Cougars receiver Gabe Marks was "misinformed" when he called UCLA "kind of douchey" for doing it.

"I don't know what their deal is," Marks said Monday. "They kind of come off as bad guys. I don't know if they do that to everybody, but it's kind of douchey.

"It makes you look like you're trying to be tough, because you live in Westwood and you wear baby blue - you're not tough. It makes you less tough because you're trying too hard. It's just weird, you don't have to do that."

The two teams had a similar issue last year, when the host Bruins didn't give their visitors half the field to warm up on, instead spreading their own pregame activities across the entire field.

Marks called those actions "disrespectful" at the time.

Washington State hosted the game this time around, and won 27-21.
