Report: Tennessee fears LCL, meniscus injuries for Kamara

Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara suffered a knee injury versus Alabama, and the team fears it could include damage to his LCL and meniscus, according to multiple reports.

Head coach Butch Jones wouldn't confirm an injury of any kind to Kamara during his Tuesday press conference, telling reporters no player on his team is 100 percent healthy at this time of year.

"Everything is wait and see," Jones said. "Is he banged up? Everybody is banged up."

Though Kamara began the season behind Jalen Hurd on the depth chart, he's taken on a greater workload recently, and has 313 yards plus three touchdowns on the season.

The elusive runner has combined with the powerful Hurd to form one of the SEC's top tailback tandems.

Jones did confirm during the conference that defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie is done for the season because of a torn pectoral.

The Volunteers have a bye this week after suffering a 49-10 loss to the Crimson Tide.
