Buzz Williams and Virginia Tech could be without one of their main big men for the 2016 season.
Williams said Monday that sophomore forward Kerry Blackshear Jr. could miss the entire season while recovering from a stress reaction, according to Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Blackshear underwent surgery on his right foot shortly after last season ended.
While appearing in 35 games for the Hokies last season, including five starts, Blackshear averaged 6.2 points to go along with 4.5 rebounds in 19.2 minutes.
