The United States promised it would deliver the Ryder Cup to Arnold Palmer, and Rickie Fowler carried out the final leg on the steps toward the memorial service in honor of "The King."

Fowler, Phil Mickelson, and Bubba Watson were a few of the thousands from all corners of the golfing world who came to pay their respects to Palmer at his public service at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Penn., on Tuesday morning.

Palmer, who played on six Ryder Cup teams and captained another, died in hospital last week at age 87.
