Vin Scully received a special visitor in the broadcast booth Saturday, as he called his second-last Los Angeles Dodgers game.

As the contest was played in San Francisco, Hall of Famer and legendary Giants outfielder Willie Mays took time to visit his old friend, before Scully retires at the end of this season.

"God bless you, Willie," Scully said to Mays, according to John Shea of the San Francisco Gate. "I can't begin to say how much I thank you for coming up here."

Scully began his career as the Dodgers' announcer in 1950. One year later, Mays made his major-league debut.

The two have expressed their admiration for one another in the past, with Scully calling Mays the best player he's ever seen. High praise from the 88-year-old, who has spent the last 67 years calling Dodgers games.
