Miles dodges Michigan question in 'College GameDay' interview

Recently fired LSU head coach Les Miles didn't confirm he was offered the Michigan job in 2011, but he didn't deny it either in an interview with ESPN's Tom Rinaldi that aired Saturday on "College GameDay."

"That time's gone by," Miles said, when asked if he rejected the Wolverines. "There's a great coach at Michigan now."

Former LSU athletic director Skip Bertman revealed on a radio show Wednesday that Miles turned down the Michigan vacancy in 2011, opting to stick with the Tigers for less money.

The Michigan position ultimately went to Brady Hoke, who lasted four years before he was ousted and Jim Harbaugh was brought in.

The 62-year-old, who wore a purple tie and pocket square for the interview - presumably in support of LSU - also said during the segment he'll continue to root for the Tigers, who take on Missouri in the first game of the post-Miles era.

"This Saturday may be a difficult thing for me," he said. "I may just get in the backyard and walk around and make some calls and sweat, and then around 7 o'clock, I think those Tigers come on. I will be right there."
