Chicago Bears quarterback Brian Hoyer suffered a broken arm in Thursday's matchup with the Green Bay Packers, head coach John Fox told the CBS broadcast.
Hoyer left the field immediately after taking a big hit in the first half and headed for X-rays. He was replaced by third-string quarterback Matt Barkley.
With starter Jay Cutler on the shelf, Hoyer took over and set a franchise record by becoming the first Bears quarterback to throw for 300 yards in four consecutive games.
