Notre Dame to host Bowling Green in 2019

Bowling Green announced Thursday it has signed a contract to play at Notre Dame in 2019.

"We are excited to add a team as tradition-rich as Notre Dame to our non-conference schedule for the 2019 season," Bowling Green athletic director Bob Moosbrugger said. "Not only will BGSU football student-athletes benefit from the game day experience, but this game will provide a great opportunity for our football season ticket holders, Falcon Club members and alumni."

The Falcons and Fighting Irish have never met before, and the matchup will mark just the fifth time Notre Dame has played a team currently in the MAC.

With the addition of Bowling Green, Notre Dame now has three empty slots remaining on its 2019 slate, according to FBSchedules.com.
