The first big putt of the Ryder Cup has come from an American.

While European team members practiced at Hazeltine, an onlooking fan named David Johnson was invited by Henrik Stenson to see if he could walk the walk, after excessively talking the talk.

Justin Rose sweetened the pot by dropping a $100 bill near his ball, and Johnson had his moment, nailing the putt in front of an electric crowd - and a flabbergasted European squad.

Consider Team USA 1-up.
