Report: Dez Bryant fined for missing Tuesday meetings, MRI

Jayne Kamin-Oncea / USA TODAY Sports

The reason for confusion over the health of Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant's right knee this week has been revealed.

Bryant, who was diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his knee Wednesday, missed team meetings on Tuesday and a scheduled MRI after showing up late to team facilities, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Moore adds that the star receiver has been fined an undisclosed amount by his team. Neither Bryant nor the team confirmed the absence or provided any known cause for the receiver to miss his appointment.

Team owner Jerry Jones curiously admitted on Tuesday that Bryant had yet to have an MRI on his injured knee, but did not provide reasoning.

The Cowboys are hopeful that Bryant can play this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.
