The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a contract with free-agent running back C.J. Spiller, the team announced Wednesday.

The New Orleans Saints released him following Week 1 after he was unable to stay healthy during his one season with the team.

With Thomas Rawls facing a multi-week absence, the Seahawks are in need of some depth at the position.

Spiller could help a Seahawks offense ranked 19th in the league that may be without Russell Wilson this week and beyond as he deals with a sprained MCL.
