Report: Jets to work out C.J. Spiller

Kevin Hoffman / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets will work out free-agent running back C.J. Spiller on Tuesday, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.

Spiller worked out for the Green Bay Packers last week but went unsigned.

The Jets seem to be looking for upgrades offensively, as they also claimed tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins on Monday.

Spiller has seen his career derailed by injuries after signing a four-year, $16-million contract with the New Orleans Saints in 2015.
