With Vin Scully on the microphone for the last home call of his illustrious 67-year career, the Los Angeles Dodgers claimed their fourth straight division title Sunday after Charlie Culberson drilled a game-winning home run in extra innings against the Colorado Rockies to earn a 4-3 victory.

The 27-year-old Culberson, an unlikely hero for the Dodgers, stepped to the plate against Rockies reliever Boone Logan with two outs and hammered an 0-1 fastball into left field to secure the division for his club.

Culberson, who had taken just 52 at-bats for the Dodgers prior to Sunday, was an impressive 3-for-5 in the contest, including his game-winner.

With the victory, the Dodgers moved to 90-66, eight games ahead of the second-place San Francisco Giants with six games remaining in the season.

If the playoffs began today, L.A. would take on the Washington Nationals, who clinched the NL East crown Saturday.
