Report: Dodgers release Norris

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The Los Angeles Dodgers have released right-hander Bud Norris nearly three months after acquiring him, according to MLB.com's Ken Gurnick.

Norris, who was traded to the Dodgers from the Atlanta Braves in June, was designated for assignment on Sept. 20 when left-hander Alex Wood was activated from the disabled list.

Since joining Los Angeles, he struggled to the tune of a 6.54 ERA over 42 2/3 innings of work, while going 3-3 in nine starts.
