Puig not Giants' friend, dazzles with bat, glove

After finding himself in the middle of a heated altercation with San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner on Monday, Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig tried to reconcile, sending him a tongue-in-cheek gift in the form of a "Don't Look at Me" T-shirt on which he scribbled #PuigYourFriend.

During Wednesday's game at Chavez Ravine, however, Puig made it clear that, on the field at least, he has no intention of being friendly toward the Giants.

Puig, omitted from the lineup Tuesday, returned with a vengeance in the series finale, blasting a three-run homer off left-hander Matt Moore in the first inning - his first long ball in 10 games against the Giants this year.

Three innings later, though, Puig outdid himself, hauling in a Joe Panik line drive with a sensational leaping grab to end the fourth inning, preventing Eduardo Nunez from scoring from first base.

Since actions speak louder than words (even in hashtag form), it seems increasingly apparent that #PuigNOTYourFriend, Giants.
